Holcombe Homes has been featured in many magazines and print publications such as Ranch & Coast, San Diego Home & Garden, and Veranda. To see two of our homes that were featured in Ranch & Coast, click here (December, 2008) and here (November 2006).

Holcombe Homes has also been voted the best homebuilder/architect by Ranch & Coast readers for two years running-- click here (2010) and here (2011) for the write-up.

Over the years, Holcombe Homes has been honored with numerous awards. We received the Lilly Award from the Rancho Santa Fe Association in 1998, 2004, and 2007. The Lilly Award is bestowed each year for architecture and land improvements which exemplify the high artistic result decreed by the Covenant. These coveted awards are named for Lilian Rice, a notable early Rancho Santa Fe architect. In the years since the publication of the Residential Design Guidelines in 1991 and the award's inception in 1993, the Lilly has served to present models of the community's standards as well as example of acceptable architectural styles.

In 2004, we designed the bus stop shelters in our community, incorporating the Early California feel of the Rancho Santa Fe community. These new stops feature tile benches, stucco columns, terra cotta tile roofs, and decorative wrought iron. For more information, click here to read the full story at the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Moreover, Holcombe Homes has participated on the design committee for the remodeling of the Rancho Santa Fe Elementary School. We also donated labor and materials for the installation of the historic bells in Rancho Santa Fe along El Camino Real.
